Slate showcases their huge double standard on riots

by Tim Miller

When BLM was rioting back in June, Slate said this:

Non-violence is an important tool for protests, but so is violence.

The Capitol protests happened a few months later, but this time it was a "criminal act":

On the Capitol protests: 'it wasn't a sit-in–this was a violent attack. It was a criminal act.'

To be clear, all riots are "criminal acts". But according to Slate, if BLM does it, it's "an important tool". Maybe Slate should take their own advice:

Ignoring the facts can be an effective-if-terrible-coping mechanism.
